In this activity, the choreographer and dancer Jose Felix Romero, will bring into play tools through which to explore movement and musicality in urban dances, going through the different styles. They are modern styles, born in recent decades (although in some cases may have much older origins), and all or almost all have behind them not only a type of music or a series of movements, but, more importantly, a culture.
Young people will learn about the cultural, social and human contexts surrounding this type of dances, learning to understand and respect them.
Also, at present, it is corroborated that urban dance is presented as a socializing agent among young people. Showing positive effects in the improvement of their self-esteem and social skills. They will perform choreographic variations building from dance and music, working from cooperation and companionship.
