Ciclo Bailemos Uruguay is part of the LATINOAMÉRICA BAILA. Dance for mobility is a project that aims to become an emotional and creative bridge between Spain and Latin America. Dance, especially flamenco dance, is the paradigm we use to make possible a work of rapprochement of our creators and dance professionals from both shores, diluting the distance through the word, dialogue and exchange.
The mixed program, which combines face-to-face and digital activities, is made up of three cycles dedicated to three countries: Colombia, Chile and Uruguay. The first two, both organized in collaboration with the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogota and the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, the last, coordinated with the SODRE Auditoriums and the University of the Republic of Uruguay, the cycle hosts digital and face-to-face meetings and a Masterclass.
Dance
The program defends two fundamental issues: dance as a profession of professions, whose essence is to unite, bring people together, create common spaces and promote the universality of creativity and cooperation.
Bringing Latin America closer to Spain, to the Community of Madrid, to Fuenlabrada and transferring our common dance culture to Colombia, Chile and Uruguay is our goal. Transporting and linking empathy, knowledge and creativity through dance is our way of building affinities and nourishing our brotherhood.
