ENTORNO is a choreographic project by the young creator Rafael Ramírez, disciple of María Pagés and winner of the Desplante 2021 award. It features the participation of choreographers Jesús Carmona and David Coria.

It seeks the parallelism that marks the work of a craftsman and flamenco creation.

This project aspires to show the impetus to dance to life and the continuous construction of the human essence, which is only possible if the influence of the environment is taken into account in its construction. Rafael will explore at the Centro Coreográfico María Pagés life as a path, as the construction of a sentimental education that makes us what we are.

The choreographer seeks, through flamenco dance, the paradise and hells inherent in our feelings, vocation, utopias and also realities tied to our feet like immovable shackles.

This Residence is part of the project of welcoming creators from all choreographic languages to the city of Fuenlabrada.
