It is essential for our elders to have spaces and frameworks organized so that they can optimally develop their recreational capacity in order to benefit their cognitive development and socialization. Involving them in the creative processes that take place at the María Pagés Choreographic Center in Fuenlabrada, whether as spectators, workshop participants or amateur stage actors, will undoubtedly allow them to enjoy a dance and theatrical emotion that will encourage them to process the contents of coexistence and benefit from their physical paradigms as a group.
Dance allows our elders to keep fit and intellectually active, since movement, both physical and intellectual, demands concentration and information processing. In addition to occupying them and involving them in an act of participatory artistic creation, it increases their brain activity and creates strong neural connections, bringing them closer to the necessary and vital sense of calm and well-being.
