Maria Pagés or organic dance
María Pagés animates in the Müpa of Budapest a talk that has flamenco dance as a fundamental axis as an organic creative paradigm. She focuses her attention on the transversal that characterizes a flamenco dance work and claims it as a creation of creators and a profession in whose genesis, creative process and development different professions and professionals are involved.
The meeting, moderated by Peter Ertl, director of the theater, and Anunciada Fernández de Córdova, Spanish ambassador to Hungary, was attended by a diverse audience of dance professionals, philosophers, historians and lovers of the performing arts, especially flamenco dance, proof of the richness of the Hungarian dance and intellectual scene.
The conversation, which was attended by a very interactive audience, moved towards a metadance approach, in which María Pagés explained the sources of inspiration and the development of the creative process, together with El Arbi El Harti, of Una oda al tiempo, a dramaturgically very powerful work, whose symbolism takes on a special force in the present times.
