On April 28, the play De Scheherezade was presented at the Teatro Auditorio de Alcobendas.
The performance was followed by a meeting with the audience in which the directors of the play Maria Pages and El Arbi El Harti participated and which was moderated by the photographer Pio Cabanillas.
The audience was more than curious and interested to know more about the play and also about the company’s tours, trips, meetings and anecdotes.
The directors explained the meanderings of the creative process of De Scheherezade, the inspiration behind the character, the construction of the dramaturgy, as well as its transformation into scenic and musical choreographic language.
Likewise, María Pagés and El Arbi El Harti highlighted the importance and role of the María Pagés Choreographic Center, a space open to all the performing arts, dedicated to dance and which opens its doors to numerous artists to reflect on and give birth to new projects. They also underlined the difficulty of creating, developing and producing an artistic work in Spain today.
