La Memoria en Movimiento – Memory in Motion is a work that synthesizes the essence and founding principles of the María Pagés Choreographic Center of Fuenlabrada.
This book is intended to lay the foundations and spiritual and structural foundations of an innovative project, in many ways, for the world of dance in Spain. It is a unique model that is claimed as a paradigm that can be transferred to other cities and other autonomous regions of the country. The Spanish choreographic creators need it and deserve it. There is no better way to promote dance in Spain.
The María Pagés Choreographic Center project emanates from the experience of a Spanish creator, as is the case of María Pagés, to rise to the rank of a universal paradigm that aims to set the Spanish dance heritage as a guideline for research, creation, training, promotion of the Spanish dance heritage and social action. Dancing is an ethical responsibility.
To carry out this task of conceptualization and synthesis of the project, La Memoria en Movimiento – Memory in Motion, has counted on the generous complicity of different personalities from the world of culture, academia, art and journalism, all friends of the María Pagés Choreographic Center of Fuenlabrada, such as Amelia Valcárcel, Pío Cabanillas Alonso, Iñaki Gabilondo, Florentino Portero, Javier Ayala, El Arbi El Harti, Eva Yerbabuena, Marta Carrasco, Pepa Bueno, Iratxe Ansa, Alberto Martínez Áreas….
