Today, November 16, marks the twelfth anniversary of the proclamation of flamenco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010. To remember this event, the Junta de Andalucía has established this day as Flamenco Day.
Flamenco is a universal art fundamentally for its expressive force. It is endorsed by its authenticity, transparency, emotion and feeling. Flamenco is an art that endures because it has had and continues to have eminent artists in singing, dancing and guitar playing. Vocational artists who continue to evolve, along with society, and who have brought this art to the forefront of the world cultural scene.
