Alegrías is a workshop-creation of the Maria Pagés Foundation and the CCMP. We contemplate it as a collective creation by women with the aim of building a story dramaturgically synergic using fragments from their collective creative and sensitive memory. It is done so as a cognitive introspection inside the pages of their creative femininity.
Alegrías, conceived by a woman for women from different backgrounds and groups of the city of Fuenlabrada and other cities of South Madrid, is a story narrated using Flamenco as main language about life being the principal vocation for the rejection of mediocrity, the claim to the right to be happy and the metaphor of the becoming as the embodiment of the quiet dialectic of where we come from, what we are now, our projection in the future, as a claim for being masters of our destinies.
