As one of the most genuine expressions of art, Dance is a language that has accompanied Humanity since its origins. It is the response of human beings to the need of giving meaning to what we see, feel, touch…, creating bonds, generating empathy, imagining possible worlds and developing our emotional intelligence and critical thinking.
The CCMP annually develops a syncretic and plurivalent cultural program. On the one hand, it defends and promotes dance as a civic art and the foundation of a citizenship committed to the challenges of our changing societies and, on the other hand, it encourages the critical sensitivity necessary to generate social cohesion and respect for difference.
From its integrative and international vocation, the CCMP aims to create a space for reflection and cultural, civic and organic action on Dance, as a paradigm of creativity and ethical commitment to its environment.
The programs designed by the CCMP of Fuenlabrada implement their processes of civic creativity on the basis of a hospitable aesthetic and ethical principle that is grounded on the defense of Dance as a global, convergent and humanist art, which acquires a real significance in its development as a participatory action.
FUENLABRADA IN MOTION consists of a series of activities that will take place in the facilities of the Centro Coreográfico María Pagés Fuenlabrada throughout the year. Starting in January with a call for Choreographic Residencies.
